plus size bodies, and plus-size fashion I know. I. Know.
Growing up having to wear adult clothes as a child and teen. Finally becoming an adult, wanting to be sexy or at least attractive and having to hunt down something in the department stores filled with matronly this and Plain Jane that. The plus sizes were always tucked away in the back corner of the top floor, or hidden in the basement like a secret nobody wanted to acknowledge. Sometimes Lane Bryant came through, but you never knew if the buyer that season was actually going to be on our side or just hated fat people.
And it really sucked going to the mall with friends. They could shop everywhere, while we had exactly one store. After five minutes in there, they’d get antsy, ready to move on.
Things have changed a little since then, but those major designers still never really claimed us. They didn’t dress fat celebrities. They didn’t design with us in mind or at all. And honestly, even if they start now, I wouldn't buy it.
So we rock with the ones who see us: local labels, Instagram designers, people like Christian Siriano. Even fast fashion, though that comes with its own deep ethical dilemmas. They recognize our value. They see us. And they see our dollar.

I use a detailed 6-point measuring system that provides a highly accurate fit. Because many people have only been measured in retail box stores, the process may feel a little different. You're welcome to bring a friend or partner if that helps you feel more comfortable.

This is a flexible category designed to support your confidence and self-expression. Whether it's everyday wear, nightwear, swimwear, seasonal outfits or anything that is going to require extra care and attention given to your self esteem and body consciousness. We'll come up with outfits and styles that show you off in your best light, and make you feel beautiful.
